Weekly Update Jan 30-Feb 6
Hello Garden & friends,
This Sunday, Pastor Bill Dogeterom helps us walk through the paradigm of what it means to live in the Way of the Cross in the midst of our everyday ordinary lives. The Way of Jesus, or the Way of the Cross, is not a way to be taken lightly. As Bonhoeffer said, "When Christ calls a man, he bids him to come and die." How do we live a life marked by carrying our cross, self-denial, and death? Give the podcast a listen on iTunes, YouTube, or through the "teaching" tab above.

The mission trip will focus on training and equipping their leaders, volunteering with some of their local partners, investing in current and new relationships, encouraging their church, and learning how we can better support and care for them. Applications are due by February 12th. For more information and/or to apply click here.
If you're looking into how to serve the local community of Long Beach, you might want to know about our weekly ministry called Laundry Love. It is a ministry at the Garden that focuses on serving and loving our neighbors while connecting with them over doing laundry. We show up to pay for people’s laundry, meet practical needs, build relationships, and serve people in our community. We gather to serve on Tuesdays at 7pm. If you're interested in serving, email Christy directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
YOUTH & KIDS! We have a place for you too! If you are a parent new to the Garden with kids in middle school and/or high school. We hold youth group Thursdays at 7pm!
