One of our primary values as a church is the belief that we need to have a life rooted in the Scriptures. A biblical life is a lens in which we see the world. The Scriptures are alive and moving and impact the way we live, the way we operate, the way we make decisions and the way we lead our lives and ministries. A life rooted in the scriptures means you contextualize your message and ministry and are held accountable to the word of God in what, how, and why we do what we do.
We love the Bible Project and everything that they do. We have been using their material for the last year as we have been going through the New Testament. Starting November 5th we will use the reading plan the Bible Project offers through the YouVersion Bible app. You will find the tentative Reading Plan that you can follow along with the rest of Garden Church below.
We hope that through this practice the Scriptures become a necessary addition to your daily rhythm of life.
NOVEMBER 5 - DECEMBER 31
As we head towards the end of 2018 and the start of a new year. We want to dive into the Scriptures through Luke and Acts to understand the message of Jesus and the vision of his disciples after Jesus’ earthly ministry came to an end.
This is our second year reading Scripture together. We meditated all on the New Testament throughout 2018. This year, we want to go through the whole Bible! This plan goes through a few chapters every day, and it is paired with interactive videos that help us get more context of the Bible’s story.
Here are some resources that you may want to check out to make sure that this next year is more full and vibrant as you read through the Scriptures:
